New Trails and park improvements of the Upper river:
_http://www.minneapolisparks.org/documents/design/AboveFalls.pdf_
(http://www.minneapolisparks.org/documents/design/AboveFalls.pdf) is the
work of a
citizen task force working with the Park Board and Close Landscape architects
on
a planning process for the east bank of the upper river from the Plymouth to
the BN bridge (above Broadway and just upstream from the Park HQ)
These plans were approved by the task force and interested citizens
attending representing the River Rats and some residents from the new town
homes
adjacent to Skyline Park.
This plan will go before the Above the Falls Citizen Advisory Committee
April 26 and then will be presented to Park Board Commissioners for final
approval.

It is partially funded from the Mississippi Watershed Management
Organization and additional funds could come from federal, state, metro, and
foundation
support.

This is a plan for fixing up the land the city and Park Board already owns
and is an extension of pedestrian trails and bike trails on the upper river.

Thanks,
Scott Vreeland Seward AFCAC, Phase 1 task force member. MWMO CAC
