The deal would make the Minneapolis sales tax 7.15 percent and the rest of
the county 6.65 percent. Twins would kick in $40 million up front and
another $85 million over time. The county sales tax would produce $28
million a year.

I suppose this also means that with the "hospitality tax" in downtown bars and restaurants we'll all be paying 10.15%. I have mixed feelings about a new Twins ballpark, but I do wonder if/when the "temporary" tax on hospitality is due to expire.
