> Now we have an empty dome to contend with.

dome isn't empty. as of right now, the gophers and vikings still use
it. the dome is paid for so there won't be a problem with any debt
obligations and if the dome is sold, given the vikings and gophers
move out, all the money made on the sale is capital gains.

> The persons making money from dome concessions are SOL.

How do you figure? if you are talking the vendors then they will
simply sell at the new park. if you are talking the companies who
supply the dome with the concessions well the new park will need that
as well. Carl doesn't make hot dogs and beer.

> The persons making money from the existing dome skyboxes is also SOL.

the vikings and mike lynn should not get revenue from suites for
baseball games. if they lose some revenue that is too bad.

the trash burner only smells when the doors are open and the wind is
out of the north and north west.

there is more parking near the new site than the dome. much more
parking. plus it is still a block away from the LRT, which could be
extended to hook up with the northstar line, which will terminate
across the street from the park. parking is less of an issues in my
opinion.

who is arguing that? I will say that if the wild play hockey again
and move operations to minneapolis, st paul would lose a significant
amount of my entertainment dollar. so I do think that the city and to
a degree the county, have something to gain by having this
entertainment option within their borders.
