Couple of housekeeping notes...

We are getting some very large posts lately - more than 10kb Unix, which is
a lot. PLEASE try to keep your thoughts under 10kb - believe me, you'll have
more than enough room. You can break your post into two if you want (though
both count against the two-per-day limit).

One way to make sure you're using your bytes efficiently is to make sure
you're sending in PLAIN TEXT. This is free of all fancy formatting (like
HTML) that makes for larger e-mails.

Also, PLEASE delete the earlier posts in a thread unless you're quoting from
them in the body of YOUR e-mail - it's also considerate of digest readers
who don't need to see stuff repeated.

If you want a personal guide to how big messages should be, make sure the
"size" column is visible on your e-mail reader. Almost all posts are ok, so
you should be able to glean the upper end. (Different e-mail programs read
message size differently.)

Big messages are bounced back to the senders with instructions for
re-sending.

On the AOL front, there's a virus that is causing AOL's servers to bounce
back list messages. On the off chance AOL account holders can read this, I'm
trying to restore things on our side, but it may take a few days.
