I wonder how this timing might affect the Mayoral race. Basim Sabri is being sentenced to Federal Prison for bribing Minneapolis Public Officials only two days before the City Convention.

Some might remember that the ONLY veto made by Mayor Rybak in his four years in office was to support Basim Sabri in another attempt at a Real Estate Boondoggle. I know there are former Rybak supporters who are still furious that Rybak got into bed with a known criminal and briber.

It was also the silliest thing I ever heard of by a Mayor. RT attempted to veto an inaction by the City Council. Now that should have been on Saturday Night Live. Sometimes real life and silly politicians beat out even made up comedy. It sort of brought "Dumb and Dumber" to mind.

Of course "Licensing Panhandlers" falls into that same category. I suppose that next Rybak and McManus will want to license poor people to help the budget. Ah yes, that's right, the Stormwatergate to tax poor people renting duplexes in the inner city already is meant to tax poor people. How many more taxes on poor people will we have? Like I say dumb and dumber.
