GetBoB, a Minneapolis nonprofit, nonpartisan civic
engagement organization is hosting two forums to help
voters understand the relevance and importance of the
upcoming city elections of mayor, Library Board, Park
and Recreation Board, and the Board of Estimate and
Taxation.

Both events are open to anyone interested in answering
a crucial question�Why are these local positions
important to me?  The forums will include a brief
overview of how Minneapolis city government is
structured and will feature panelists representing
Minneapolis�s independent boards explaining the
relevance of the positions to voters.  There will be
ample time for audience questions.

Panelists will include:

Jim Bernstein � Minneapolis Charter Commission
Vivian Mason � Park & Recreation Board
Wally Swan � Board of Estimate & Taxation
A representative of the Friends of the Minneapolis
Public Library

residents to better understand the city and the
