Scott Vreeland asked us to weigh in on the Park Board at Large contest.

Ill readily admit that I am a avid fan of Meg Forney. We met 25 years ago
through our involvement with Dutch elm disease through our involvement in
the ECCO neighborhood. We also worked hand in hand on the East Calhoun News
when she was editor and then for many years in People for Parks, in the
years when we successfully raised funds for the Daffodils in the Parks, the
portable Showmobile, the Lake Harriet Band Shell and many other projects to
enhance the Minneapolis Parks.

Meg has demonstrated to me over and over again that she can effectively
bring people together to get things done. Her credentials are strong and
her commitment to our Minneapolis Park and Recreation system and our citys
urban environment has been unwavering. She truly has shown that she can be
effective at bringing people together to make our city and its parks a
better place for all.

Her experience, her passion and her interpersonal skills add up to the
perfect choice for the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board for an
at-large seat.
