Jeanne Massey: In no defense of Farheen Hakeem, few candidates (running for any of the local offices and including incumbents) have participated on this list. Park board candidates have been the most visible on the list and I've learned much more from their exchanges here than I have from campaign information and events. By engaging in debate, candidates are able to share their thoughts and ideas on issues in more depth and with more breadth - a big benefit to all of us making choices at the poll.
