Of course Mr. Brauer is correct in his math.

I do believe that I am entitled to my hyperbola however, since we are being
asked to approve (no wait a minute, no one is giving us the chance to approve
anything) a pig in a poke.

We are already seeing other things being added to the list of things being paid
for by the new levy, (1 million for the park board, money for kids etc.).
Since the authorization from the Legislature is for 30 years, I feel justified
in figuring the cost of the debt service for the full 30 years.

I hope, as Mr. Brauer says, that elected officials down the road will be
prudent and allow the tax to expire if its original purpose is complete, but as
we all know, the legislature is open for business every winter, and it is much
easier to ask for permission to continue an existing tax than to get a new one.

Yea I guess I was being a little cynical in my using the full 30 years, but
again, I am a bit of a curmudgeon.
