Farheen Hakeem did remind me of another Green and a woman I admire so
much..Natalie Johnson Lee.

Natalie Johnson Lee is an example to me of a person who speaks her mind
eloquently and powerfully.

And does so even when she knows she will be criticized and maligned.

I do see the Green Party gaining ground as it continues to attract such
people as these two women.

Of course I also have a special admiration for Dean Zimmerman who has led the
effort for the rights of persons experiencing homelessness. His efforts
resulted in the formation of the Decriminalization of Homelessness Task Force
which
continues to move forward in its work for humane and just responses to
persons experiencing homelessness. If you want more info on how Dean's efforts
paved
the way for this now nationally recognized effort on Decriminalization,
e-mail me...I will fill you in chapter and verse.

But back to Farheen. Her intelligent, decisive and strong response to the
Minnesota Women's Press was a breath of fresh air. She is the sort of person we
need in public office...outspoken, intelligent and willing to take the heat for
what she says.

Her campaign is clearly a serious one. I certainly take her seriously.

And no, I am not a Green. I just like an awful lot of Green candidates and
public servants for who they are and what they do.
