List...
As with all neighborhoods, we are still having problems with our schools having
the funding they should. Wenonah seems to have more programs due to more
improvished funding and the care of a Principal. Keewayin, on the other hand,
seems to have become the ugly stepsister that they wished would go away so it
seems to be experiencing lack of funds, lack of overseeing by the actual
Principal (only the intern), lack of programs etc. As the board had originally
wanted, parents are leaving and next year the teachers count will be 8. There
will not be art, reading programs, etc.

So, we are hoping to set up a volunteer program....
The items that we would like to cover are..art, reading, music, science,
business, and if possible civics/democracy for grade school.

If there is anyone reading this list that can help with any of these programs
or knows of someone...please contact me off list. This will be for next year
and we will need to set up the volunteer program...any ideas, any programs
available, any resources...any thread of expertise will be woven into a
learning experience for our children..
Of course, now we need to inform the school of what we wish to do!!!

Thanks for all help given...
