the san diego padres play in PETCO. You are thinking of san francisco who plays in what used to be called pac bell park, can't think of the name now. SBC maybe? The braves play in a stadium that was the site of the track and field events at the 96 olympics which was a brand new facility. I don't think that was paid for with private money but maybe it was.
