By the way, I was at the Democratic Convention and I, at no time, saw an
assault on Council Person Don Samuels, as you stated in your letter. That is a
false statement to put out there.

On a rare break from the Teller Room, I went to the floor, and in passing saw someone yelling & screaming at Council Member Samuels. I didn't recognize the person; and my thought was that the delegates were getting really testy up there, and that it was safer down in the Teller Room! But such verbal assault is, I believe, technically within the legal definition of "assault" -- or, at least, "creating a public disturbance". He could have been charged with such a crime. Instead, he was simply asked to leave. By the way, Mr. Flowers was not an elected DFL delegate entitled to be seated at this convention; he was a guest at the convention. (So, really, he shouldn't have been on the floor at all, he should have been in the visitor seating.)
