I went to church today and prayed that since "MAN" is unwilling to bring Mr.
Hodges and Council Person Don Samuels together, perhaps GOD himself will step
in.

Since I have never one spoken politically on the candidacy of the 5th ward I
will continue to remain silent and vote my conscience. I haven't yet made up
my mind, as I am sure other are still pondering over it too. Clearly, at least
three of you have made your chose and I respect that as YOUR choice. Why two
African-Americans are left to fight over the most impoverished area in the city
is a disgrace in itself.

However, my intention remains the same. To stop the infighting in the
African-American. Support each other, whether our opinions are different or the
same,
and respect that our different styles, qualities and opinions are what makes
us the great people GOD or a higher being, for those who have other religious
beliefs, created.

People make mistakes, as both side have, but the power of forgiveness trumps
everything else. Even if Council Person Don Samuels chose not to accept the
"apology," I will remember that it was extended.

This will be my last email to the forum on the issue because someone has to
stop the madness since it is starting to be used as a political platform.

I would like to add the following:

Mr. Palmer your emails, to me, on the Empowerment Zone have been insightful.

Booker Hodges, you're a young African-American man. An apology for hurting
someone's feeling is a start. Please continue to fight for what you believe in
and let GOD lead you the rest of the way. Our community needs activist, elected
leaders and self-appointed leaders to make sure that we, no matter what the
race is, are protected as a people.

Council Persons' Samuels and Johnson-Lee please remember the "little people"
in the Northside community.

PS: I wish the lady name Barbara Lickness would have run for office. I so
enjoy reading her emails. Perhaps the next mayors race would be a place to
start.
I would be happy to stick signs in the yards in my Northside community.

Good luck to all and have a blessed day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
