As I sit here at 1;30 A.M. ON SUN MORNING for the I've lost count of
weeks, this is because it's now going on the second year with this
group of Drug dealers. IF YOU DON'T CALL THIS TERRORISM WELL I DO
it's now 1:45 and I'm back to wrighting after kicking them out of my
yard when the Police show up for the THIRD time since 8:oopm to get
rid of the drug dealers and the party goers of 10 to 30 we'll see
how long they stay away this time.
I live a couple blocks from Joan, it's been a bit quieter on
my block this summer but clearly gang turf is only a couple blocks
away. So I chose to spend the night in rural Wisconsin camped with a
bunch of fellow motorcyclists instead of here in the Northside free
fire zone. At 11 pm I excused myself from the discussion around the
campfire and I was soon fast asleep.
We did have the odd loud motorcycles present- a three decades
old Harley with sidecar that had been lovingly rebuilt on tight
budget by a young working class rider. His exhaust pipe broke on the
way there but I'm sure he has it patched by now.
My pleasant weekend experienced amongst the target of so many
list members ire makes one question their priorities... there were
far more posts in the last few days about the "problem" of loud
motorcycles than about gang violence in our once fair city. And given
the demands of several list members for police action against loud
motorcyclists, it sounds like they expect police to stop on the way
to a "shots fired" call to ticket loud motorcyclists. I'm sorry, but
prioritizing noise reduction over violent crime reduction is a lot
more serious offense than straight pipes, even at 3 am...
hanging on in Hawthorne,
