Lisa you go girl. At least you have the courage and gumption, to tell the truth.

Lisa McDonald is correct, it is utterly ridiculous given the fact that the "Park" rents space for political candidates for Mayor to hold political fundraising parties. I have attended one for RT Rybak in the past, and this year one for Peter McLaughlin in City Parks. Every politician I know has passed out literature and glad-handed at functions in Minneapolis Parks. What about all those lime green RT shirts, don't they count as "name tags"?

I also deeply resent this misuse of the police. PV Park, East Phillips, and I am sure some Northside parks have real criminals, selling our real children real drugs, and some misguided jerk wastes three cars of cops and their time harassing one political candidate whom they don't like? Someone should be fired for this inappropriate waste of the overworked police officers' time, and the waste of our Minneapolis tax payer dollars.

I thought they could give a citation for wasting police time with a false report. Who ever ordered those police to that location for that purpose should be slapped with a fine as well as fired. If it was a sitting elected official add throwing them out of office for malfeasance of office. By the way I would feel the same even if it was a politician handing out literature who I didn't like. I do not even know Stone, or what he is running for, but this is clearly discrimination and rather stupid to boot.

Ventura Village, where REAL criminals have always been ignored by Park Board Members.

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Is the Park Superintendent going to enfore this so-called "rule" for every political candidate or person wearing a button supporting a cause?
