1) I inquired a couple of days ago whether it was permissible to distribute
campaign literaure at an 8th Ward candidate forum and whether an incumbent park
commissioner running for the ward seat, among others, obtained a permit. Maire
Hauser replied offline, and indicated her understanding that when a group
reserves space the participating individuals aren't required to pull a permit
to distribute within that gathering. I pass that along in the interest of
fairness.
2) Before I order one on the Net, does anybody out there have an old scythe
lurking in their garage or basement that they'd be willing to sell? No, my
lawn hasn't gotten out of hand. I'm just trying to do a little weed control in
the meadow of my 40 up north.
