In terms of "appropriate behavior in the parks" another sign, or 76 more
cops aren't gonna be able to do a thing about it. I see it as symptomatic of
a greater ill in our society........... the erosion of civil and common
courtesies owing to a "me first" attitude. Examples in the Minneapolis parks
range from the casual tossing of garbage whereever one wants to parents
allowing their children with poopy diapers to swim at the beach to runners
on the bike path (hey! it's less crowded!). This mentality, IMHO, is also
what fuels red-light runners ("I can't bothered to stop! It's
inconvenient").
