Michelle Hill Responds: Since Megan Goodmundson assumes I have taken a position on who I choose for council person in the 5th ward, and takes a step further in stating that I have insulted the her intelligence, one would have to assume the intelligence was there in the first place. You asserted that you too have seen the campaign literature and noted the use of the term "reelect," well of course you have seen it...you are CP Samuels campaign manager. You speak about the Hodges-Samuels issue as if you are a concerned citizen....well it was your email to the station asking for the suspension, as a "concerned citizen" rather than as Don Samuels campaign manager. Yes, our community is tight-knit and there is nothing secretive that we do not find out. I have been around a lot of years and I vote based on my own conscience and not on rhetoric. As to whether I have decided my vote the answer is "NO." Do I like some things about both candidates, "Yes." Do I question things about both candidates, "Yes." I never cast a vote for a person because someone else believes I should, and I never cast a vote based on gender or race. In this case I have to vote based on race since both candidates are people of color. I challenge you to show me where I have spoken against CP Samuels. I simply respond to the one-sided statements that a couple of you make. I will always believe that Samuels and Hodges incident was blown out of proportion by people like you, and not Mr. Samuels. I have had the great pleasure of hearing CP Johnson-Lee and I was impressed. I may be just as impressed if I get the chance to hear CP Samuels speak. As it would happen, I have not had that opportunity. When I went to Lucille Kitchen to hear the candidates speak, CP Samuels was not there. Go back and review messages from those who support CP Samuels. If you can continuously come on this forum and praise CP Samuels and take weak shots at CP Johnson-Lee, expect that others can do the reverse. I do not lay down for insults, but I do accept constructive criticism. By the way, what is CP NJL message? Since you accused me of promoting it, I would like to know what it is.
