I read his comments and I too revere teachers/ I am of the generation which
received the 'old' books / the last edition that white students would turn in
for new books- the students at my high school- Pearl Senior High would take
those cast offs and read them cover -to-cover- at least I did!
But rather than salute the teachers alone , I give tribute to my mother! I
have fond memories of my brothers and sister and me all huddled in my mother's
bed as she read to us!
