I agree with everything Valerie says except, I don't see the new home improvement center as a negative. The building is not really designed for anything but a warehouse sized business. I am tired of having to drive to St Louise Park or Fridley in order to get reasonably priced lumber. Last I heard, the opening has been delayed because they are trying to recruit employees from the neighborhood. They are now getting assistance in that area from several sources.
Except for this, Valerie, I again agree whole heartedly. Pollice are only a bandaid. More, much more, needs to be done. It's also easy and understandable to some of us how emotional a person can get at times. Many of us live in this climate, too. I just suggested to a friend that maybe the mayoral candidates and their familes should have to live on 26th Ave N for awhile. whomever lasts the longest wins the job. I am sure attitudes would change. Anne McCandless Jordan REMINDERS: 1. Be civil! Please read the NEW RULES at http://www.e-democracy.org/rules.
