I am surprised that the campaign in Ward 10 appears to be getting so far "down in the mud". I expected substantive campaigns that would focus on the issues facing city hall. At this point in the game I don't think it matters who tried to block who at the endorsing convention. We all have war stories to tell about campaigning. Democracy is messy. >From here forward, it's about who will do the work to reach the voters in the >ward and resonate clear messages about how they will handle the issues facing >the city. Lots of work to do and little time to do it. I would be more interested in reading a post about what qualifications each candidate has that makes them ready to take a council member seat at city hall. After all, the person who gets this job will be on a "board of directors" so-to-speak of a major corporation in the State of Minnesota. What experience do each of the candidates have that prepares them to do this job? I know a large number of people in the 10th Ward. I can't imagine any of them being interested in a dialog that diverts attention from the real issues facing this city. I hope the candidates can all agree to stay on the high road.
