Maybe he has matured as a candidate, but when I saw him speak at a DFL meeting in Feb or March, he was much more like Jason McGrath described yesterday than as Tom Parsons describes.

Remington repeatedly promised to be a strong ADVOCATE, in a voice that startled many people in the room (each time he said it!). What he was advocating for seemed less important. I took it to be a mix of left-wing activism and a non-specific anti-racism.

As an urbanist, he seemed confused. He stated that putting commercial properties next to residential ones was tantamount to "institutionalized racism" I think you maybe could say that about a certain big, run-down chain store on lake street, but what about small neighborhood shops that provide goods, services, and jobs right where people live?

We find Ralph Remington to be a good person and
candidate for Ward 10. He has a great understanding of
the issues and concerns facing our neighborhood.
Whenever we've engaged him with tough questions on
issues that we care about, he has always been
forthright and direct. Directness is important to us.

His passion and commitment to public service for our
neighborhood is comforting. We are confident that he
has the best interests of Ward 10 residents in mind
when he speaks about what needs and wishes we see for
our neighborhood.
