Personally, I find it kind of a tough sell to expect a mayor to diversify
the police force, and more police, or create additional summer jobs for
disadvantaged youths when we ALL recognize that we've been in the middle of
a budget crisis durng his entire tenure as mayor... I don't suspect that
his solicitation (of funding) from the private sector has changed much the
4-years he's been in office. I do suspect however, that the amount of money
he's successfully been able to obtain from the private community has changed
in the last year....
RT took-over a VERY challenging set of circumstances from the former
administration and, through no fault of his own, has been faced with
managing a City that was not in a financially sound position when he
inherited it. He's done a good job...
