Really? So the 75 cents a pack "fee" that Minnesota is using to balance its
budget is my imagination? And Minneapolis won't see any of that money? Did
you know that Minnesota has a state MINIMUM price for cigarettes? That's so
the tax money keeps rolling in. This is a state minimum price brought to you
buy legislators who say they believe in the free market.

Why can't they ban it? Certainly if it's the "public health" problem it is,
they could sure try. Minneapolis has a bad case of Berkeley-Eugene-Madison
envy and certainly would be the champions in liberal nanny-statism if they
tried, at least. Of course it'll never happen.......... there's too much
money in smokes.

No, but they are not the "public health" risk smoking tobacco is. Doesn't
negate my original point: if it's so bad, try to ban it altogether.
Otherwise, it's just political posturing under the guise of "public
health"....... though it's nothing but nanny-statism run amok...... again.
