This Post was written last night but apparently because it included Mr.
Zimmerman's post was too long.. So tonight I am re-sending it after
removing some slightly sharp replies.
---------------------------------
Yes, Dean was a little too late. But it is beginning to sound like that
might accurately characterize Dean's activities on this issue. Why did he
not just write a note saying that it was him and his staff who had
accomplished this. I would have been glad to redo my "Thanking".
Well Dean, I will take your word for how events occured. If so, then please
tell Robert that while still thanking him, I need a little of my thanks back
for another deserving person. No wait, I think I found some more I had
specially saved for Dean.
While I do not want to get too personal "on LIST" let me state that I am
amazed and amused that Dean Zimmerman thinks I am a supporter of Robert
Lilligren. If I were not involved in what I believe are far more important
activities I would indeed be running against the two of them. BUT I AM NOT!
Dean, it is Robert Lilligren you are running against , NOT Jim Graham! Why
in the hell would a thinking politician want to pick a non-existent fight
with someone he is NOT running against?
I believe Mr. Zimmerman has cut that theoretical slice of cheese a little
too thin and it smells. Dean seems to feel that any praise of Robert
Lillegren is a slight to himself? Guilt over past actions might possibly
delude Dean into believing I could only be a Lilligren supporter? No, it
means that I have in the past been accurately critical of Mr. Dean Zimmerman
on those Sabri issues. But not this one, until I heard that recorded message
from Friday afternoon. And then it was more a bemusement that he was three
days late and a couple of cards short of a full deck. Heck, he just simply
was not there on this one. A very different thing. Heck, I was not here
Thursday night or Friday either.
Dean says it is "public knowledge that Jim supports Robert Lilligren".
Which public has common knowledge about Jim Graham supporting anyone for the
sixth Ward? The only public with that knowledge would seem to be the one in
Zimmerman's fantasy. Before Mr. Zimmerman makes false assumptions about WHO
I support, he might want to just call and ask. Why not ask Robert Lilligren?
Zimmerman certainly knows my number, and has called it before.
Heck, he called it last Friday, as I said. I was out of town at the time,
but the message is still on my recorder with the exact verbiage and time
stamp I
wrote about. If someone wants to question when Zimmerman called to tell me
he believed it was being worked on and everything was hopefully being
resolved and taken care of they can hear it on that tape. By the way, I
called Dean's office three days earlier on Tuesday afternoon late, and they
made no mention of anything being taken care of. Robert Lilligren had
called me much earlier in the same day, Tuesday, to assure me things were
being taken care of. So forgive me, but I had to assume that Robert
Lilligren had taken care of things. Heck, I even called Dean Zimmerman's
office today to thank him for whatever help he might have been and to offer
my understanding of why he was tied up on Tuesday. I talked to Natalie.
Even had a fun conversation about her son and my granddaughter.
Assumptions sure are a bitch, at least for Dean. Robert Lilligren has asked
if he could say I was a supporter of his, and I have said no. And here Dean
Zimmerman announces what his opponent Lilligren had asked for to the world.
As if it were true. Just where did Zimmerman see my announced support? I
will tell Dean the answer. He never did! Dean Zimmerman just assumed! All
he had to do was just ask. Just like I do when I want to know something
from Dean.
Heck, I remember a time before his association with Sabri that I wanted to
support Dean because of his promise to help with our "Carriage House"
accessory housing project. Check your records Dean, I even gave you a
contribution to help pay off your campaign debts. I guess Lilligren does
not need to wage an aggressive campaign. Dean, unfortunately, seems to be
doing it for him. Also Dean, and everyone, just because I might praise Barb
Johnson or Don Samuels it does not mean I am supporting them in the Sixth
Ward either. Though I would reconsider if Scott Benson were to run in the
Sixth. I might support him.
