Crazy! The law says that corporations or LLCs cant put up a sign to advocate on behalf of a candidate. My read of the statute leads me to believe that sole proprietors can still put up signs. But the law also OKs taking city money, putting out a Ward 9 (or City) "Newsletter" with your picture on the cover?
