Sorry - we just got our act together on this:
The climactic 8th Ward forum will be:
Tuesday, Sept. 6
Martin Luther King Park, 41st & Nicollet
7-9 p.m.
We haven't cemented the format, but tentatively it will be:
• Candidate speeches, 2 min each, 7-7:30 p.m. (there are 10
candidates, and we wanted to give them time to pitch themselves)
• Freeflowing discussion, 7:30-8:30 p.m. (Audience questions, cross-
talk among audience and candidates, not a rigid one-minute responses.
See Brauer try to herd cats for high stakes!)
• Candidate fair, 8:30 p.m.-9 p.m., where you can buttonhole the
candidates one-on-one.
As I write this, it probably makes sense to open doors a half-hour
early for a pre-fair. I'll let everyone know if we go that way...
This is a joint Southwest Journal/Southside Pride production (and
hopefully not debacle)

Perhaps it's just that it's summer, or maybe I've passed too many
times on reading posts. But I'm in the dark about upcoming pre-
primary candidate fora for our crowded 8th ward ballot. I had a
chance to listen to the candidates last spring in the SW Journal/SS
Pride forum, but came away without a clear favorite, and would like
to see how the candidates have developed since then. Does anybody
know the times and places?
