Before any more people log on to do Marie bashing, let me say that from
knowing her I can assert that Marie is an honest person. Unfortunately,
she's credulous, particularly when people with authority give her
"information." Like the folks from Crown Hydro. Like a lawyer for the
park board. Like many honest people, she assumes others are honest as
well. It makes her a charming human being, but it may not serve as well
in public office.
(Surely we all know that the dictum for lawyers, "Do you believe in god?
I'll take either side," should prompt one to be skeptical. Lawyers are
hired to make a case around what the employer wants to do, since most
everything will fall into a gray area and there will be a way to argue
for whichever point of view one prefers.)
So, dig into her votes if you want a different park board rep., but
there is no need to bash her, make fun of her, or otherwise be Minnesota
Mean to her.
