I'd like to request that complete headers be sent with this email. I think
it's important to give the list members of this list an opportunity to
evaluate for ourselves, the authenticity of this email.
Did Marie Hauser ask David to forward this to the list, or was it her
campaign manager.
Also I second Steve Nelson's call:

Does it strike anyone else as odd that in this entire DeLaSalle discussion
and hearings and presentations to the board we have not heard anything from
the board's legal council Brian Rice. I admit I haven't been to as many
meetings this year with confilcts with ACORN board meetings and the passing
of my mother in May so I may have missed him. But I know I have not seen
any comments here in the issues list about "Rice said this" or "Rice said
that".
Anyone have more information from the official legal council?
EY: I'd be interested to see Brian Rice post on this list on this topic
too. The last time he was over here, he threatened list members with
slander lawsuits. Rice might be weak on the First Amendment...... In
fact, I think it speaks volumes that he didn't advise the board more wisely
on their candidate literature permit requirement.
I think the Church and State Separation issues are pretty clear - and I do
find this troubling. Dann Dobson raises an excellent point. Has anyone on
this list contacted the MCLU? Please let me know offlist - or post to
the list.
