I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before in this forum that I have done some
volunteering for Kevin McDonald, but in the interests of full disclosure,
here is a summary of my extensive contributions to his campaign:

 - reviewed content for campaign literature
 - organized issue statements for web site and campaign literature
 - contributed $25

For further disclosure, here's why.

Kevin McDonald and I are friends and for the most part, we share similar
views on what the city's priorities are and how they can be addressed. I've
seen what he has accomplished on projects we've worked together on and I
think he would make a great city council member.

In addition, in talking with Kevin, other friends/colleagues who live in or
near Ward 12 and colleagues in environmental departments, it's become rather
apparent to me that Sandy Colvin Roy hasn't been that great of a council
member in general and that the reputation she has with some folks as some
great advocate for water quality is overrated at best and possibly a bad
case of green-washing at worst.

More on that later, since I've got to get to work now.
