This hit and run and the shootings on the northside has nothing to do with
economic desperation. It has a lot to do with no values, no conscious, and
not giving
a hoot about anyone else other than feeding their own sick debilitations.
It is easier to rob an elder than to go to work and give that woman credit
for at least making an attempt to save what was hers only to lose at the
end. They will
find these people...what type of sentence will they get? Five years? This
is manslaughter...they intentionally ran over her.
Let's stop making excuses for this behavior...it's the schools, it's
society, it's lack of money, it's about race...bull shreds, I know a lot of
poor people....they are
not out killing innocent children or harming society. The person makes a
choice, they know the difference between right and wrong...make them
responsible
for their actions and the courts need to uphold the rights of the citizenry
and not the killers. As one post stated even in jail one has the right of
the "Consititution"
that is just fine and dandy while the family of the slained goes on grieving
without a mother, grandmother or child.
I would dare say...the $50 was needed more by the woman then the people in
the car. This was just a quick thrill/a high for them, that would be laughed
about later on. Enough of these excuses...

>From the Sunday's Tribune: "Ron Edwards, a civic leader who serves on
