For those who don't know what forum Cheryl means, she is talking about
Getting to the Bottom of the Ballot's panel discussion on the sometimes
confusing web that we call local government. We're running a repeat of
the forum on August 31st, so those who missed it can join us this time.

Thank you, Sheldon, for notice on radio coverage for Hosmer lib. forum!
Reminder (nag,nag,nag):
HOSMER LIB tONIGHT 6:30
wALKER sATURDAY 2PM
Last 2 forums, by attending both, can get a good idea of candidates
views...questions are rotated 3 candidates at a time.
17 of the l9 candidates have particiapted in these forums.
Kudos to bottom of ballot (their forum last spring was very
informational).
The proposed charger (our "constitution") revisisions make these
forums more important than ever (including the park board). Gone are
the days when we could depend on the IR and DFL sample ballots (these
races are supposed to be nonpartisan)...I know I used to depend on
those sample ballots. There are too many qualified independent
candidates running in these races to rely on 2nd hand info.
Thank you,
cheryl luger
