I was at the Mayoral debate yeserday at Branch 3.

R.T. is rapidly trying to "rehabiliate" his image on homelessness. But that
is for another posting tomorrow.

Given this new, energized and pro-homeless R.T. :

I assume that finally, finally he has read the recommendation by the
Community Advisory Board on Homelessness calling for Public Testimony by
persons
experiencing homelessness or formerly homeless to the Mayor and City Council.

And given this new, and better R.T.... I anticipate he will use his influence
and resources to work with us to put together such testimony.

Gail Dorfman did it at the County Commissioners a few years ago.

I am not using the term "Bully Pulpit" because the City Council Members have
not needed anyone to bully them. They have stepped up so far and listened to
the recommendations and taken them seriously.

Thanks to all the Council Members for your respect and concern on these
issues.

So, the City Council doesn't have to be the one to make this happen. The
Mayor can simply decide he wants that pubic testimony and that he is going to
make
it happen.

I am sure he has the authority to reserve space at City Hall and publicize it.

Not a difficult task. I don't see a political downside on this one.
Not a big request for the new R.T.
