Annie Young was kind enough to give her perspective, and assure the list that the Park Board's actions (and inactions) regarding the non-profit athletic program Laverne Turner operates are not motivated by petty political alliances. Good. Perhaps Annie will further expand on what the reasons are, then. Why does the Park Board want to give land away for private school kids to play football, and at the same time hike up the rates seven times for poor kids to play football? Why are these kids still waiting to gear up for practice?
