I do not have a dog in this fight since I live in 12...however, I believe it
is necessary to know candidates from other neighborhoods since their
vote will affect ones own neighborhood.

Last week I had an opportunity to meet Remington....in his conversation
there was nothing anti..whatsoever. He talked about getting our young
children into early learning, helping neighborhoods rid themselves of crime
so people could walk down the streets without fear and a good transit so
people could get to work. Also one of the things he said was....
I am optimistic and I have hope. That does not sound like someone
who is negative. It is also my understanding that he goes to every City
Council meeting possible...dedicated, committed, and knowledgeable
might also be added to optimistic.

I believe some of the posters want mega high density development, the stadium, etc. and they are working for the candidate who is running on that platform...so be it. But tell us how you are involved...we as readers, can read and relate.... knowing that you are bias and perhaps bashing and not really giving pertinent fair information on issues.

> Most disturbing is Thatcher's assertion that Remington is
"anti-everything." The only thing I've specifically heard him speak
"against" was the height of the Lagoon Project. Funny that Persons now
seems to even be reconsidering his own stance on the height now.
Remington is for: planned, sustainable, transit-oriented development
(i.e. Smart Development). He has consistently spoken about the
connections between good, community driven planning (that includes ALL
stakeholders - developers, neighborhood and the city), affordable
housing, safe neighborhoods, and a comprehensive mass transit SYSTEM.
He's also for representative, accountable leadership. Remington has a
proven record in that area as well.
