I do appreciate Mr. Halfhill's insight. Yes, the DFL has pretty well purged "labor" in terms of support for laborers.

I note that the DFLers in Minneapolis politics all seem to me to be indistinguishable from Republicans. My guess is that the DFL party consists primarily of "moderate Republicans" -- you know, supposedly "moderate on social issues but conservative on fiscal issues."

So much for choice and democracy. We have DFL candidates for most city offices, but most are essentially moderate Republicans?
