Personally, I think it's not only patently unfair, but downright wrong to
make ANY speculation about why the FBI searched Councilmember Zimmerman's
house until we have more information regarding this matter.
Unless it turns-out that this search was somehow very time-sensitive, the
FBI, in my opinion has a LOT of explaining to do to the citizens of
Minneapolis.
I suspect it will, that the search was conducted in support against an
on-going case for ANOTHER individual and that CM Zimmerman (or any OTHER
local politician) is not involved with any wrong-doing.
In which case, those that chose to publicly "speculate" as to what it
"might" be linked-to, should be ready to make as equally a hasty public
apology for their speculation...
Let's wait and see what happens before we sling any more mud around at
people. Or even infer that we're slinging mud. Our system of government
may not be perfect, but it's the cleanest pair of dirty socks we have in the
dresser. Let's just agree to not use this, as yet to be explained incident,
have an unfair effect on the outcome of the upcming primary election. If
for no other reason than it's just not the right thing to do....
