I was honestly disappointed to hear that speculation had more than a little substance. I received a phone call advising me that the Sabri crime organization may have brought down another elected Minneapolis official. It was explained to me that there was news coverage on more than one channel that said the FBI had video coverage of Zimmermann receiving FBI money in a bribe to change zoning for another Sabri development project. Even though I have written about and "speculated" about this very obvious to me connection for some time I am still saddened and disappointed to be proven correct. Dean really is a good guy and it is unfortunate that he may have become caught up in the Basim Sabri crime web. Dean Zimmermann is a victim of that organized crime, we will hopefully be understanding and forgiving of him as also being a victim.

"He that cannot forgive others, breaks the bridge over which he himself must pass if he would ever reach heaven; for everyone has need to be forgiven. In the forgiveness of others one forgives themselves, and this is the forgiveness that is most essential"

I must admit that four years ago I had much the same feelings after watching the news and finding my good friend, and the person I believed to be the most honest Council Member, had been taken in by that same Sabri crime organization. Brian Herron was also a great person and I still claim the best representative the Sixth Ward has had on the Council in the last several years until the Sabri crime scandal.

After this last incident I certainly hope federal authorities will begin to investigate racketeering charge possibilities. Perhaps Sabri's bragging about "Owning" Minneapolis politician(S) had real substance.

I was saddened and disappointed again when I came to the computer. I "speculated" that I might see a few apologies for some sad things written to me both on and off list by "respected" list members. Unfortunately that speculation proved to be wrong. The List cupboard was bare. But that is OK; sometimes everyone is just too busy on a Friday night. Perhaps, like me, everyone worked late and simply was too busy to watch the television news. I believe someone suggested that he hoped that apologies would be forthcoming as fast as "speculation" if that speculation proved to be wrong. I would hope that apologies might travel just as fast if "speculation" proved to be true. But I speculate that they probably will not.
