Senator Higgins,
Thank you so much for your reply. You are the only politician who has
replied with a serious question. I will respond as I do with all list
members, on or off list.
No Senator, you are NOT one of the Northside power Brokers or
"handlers". As a matter of fact, you or any you named, would not even make
the 2nd team. Be that good or bad for you and the others is open to debate.
If anything, you and Council Person Johnson are the "handled". What
made you and CP Johnson not demand an inquiry or investigations when it
became known that the Minneapolis Police Relief Association (MPRA) pension
fund was looted for $9.6 million? When former Minneapolis Finance Director
John Moir publicly announced this loss would ultimately cost the Minneapolis
taxpayer over $50 million why did you not demand answers? Who got to you
and CP Johnson and convinced you to throw your taxpaying, home owning
constituents to the tax dogs, due to your failure to act. Or, did you and
CP Johnson make this decision on your own. Did you and every other elected
official with a Minneapolis constituency just decide on your own to let the
criminal theft of nearly $10 million from a public pension fund be ignored?
You know the answers. How about sharing them with the list?
As to my naming names, I really don't have to now. You, by ignoring the
REAL powerful elected officials of the North Side have effectively named
many of them. Add to that list former elected officials, attorneys,
lobbyists, businessmen and cops and you would have a pretty comprehensive
list of who I am alluding
to.
You might consult with Representative Kahn, who, interestingly, you
omitted from your list, who seems to know a lot about me and she could
certainly fill you in as to why I can not name names at this time. The
names, at least some, will be divulged in due time. Again thank you for
your post. Public discourse is always good.
Respectfully,
George Janssen
Longfellow

Subject: [Mpls] northside" handlers"
As the highest ranking northside elected official, I'd like to know
exactly
who those Northside power brokers who administer the DFL machine are too.
Me? Barb Johnson, Joe Mullery, Keith Ellison? Maybe Don Samuels or . . .
Is
it our one school board member, our two park board members, our one
library
board member? I've run out of ideas. If it's me, I'd like to know that
someone, anyone, thought I had that kind of power!
Name names, Mr Janssen. Who are these power brokers?
sen. linda higgins
northsider and proud of it!
