Disregarding the other reasons for and against the project. I just wanted to take issue with one of the statements regarding not being fooled that DLS will allow any usage of the field/stadium/yard/dome(whoops, did I say that?)/event center/.... How could Holy Angels' field provide a guide for usage? They seem to have non-school related rec leagues playing soccer at their field both with the dome(!!!) is up and during the summer. Perhaps other sports too that I dont know of. I have spent many weekends and weeknights at that field playing soccer over the past few years. While I dont know the hours or percentage of time they make it open; why would this be different, particularly with the use-agreement? It is unfair to claim that DLS will allow essentially no outside playing time. You have no evidence of that and the reciprocal use agreement goes contrary. While its fair to say that DLS will likely get the most use out of the stadium/field/whatever, I dont think its fair to infer that it will be a private field or that DLS will not live up to its end of the agreement. Kind regards, Anthony Thompson Standish DLS Grad Retractable roof anyone?
