I just wanted to distract you all from the heated political campaign discussions in the list and thank all of you that supported overturning the denial of the Block permit for Mexican independence day.
The event was a complete success. The organizers from Mercado Central did an excellent job, putting this event together. It was great to see such a good turnout. It was great to see Minneapolis finally celebrate Mexican Independence day the way its celebrated in Mexico. It was very emotional for many of the event participants to remember their homeland for the night. Although I'm Puertorican, I felt Mexican that night, singing songs from Mexico, and having a great time. Thanks again to Dean Zimmermann and Gary Schiff for their work in getting the permit approved, and all others who were involved. I hope my post doesn't become part of the heated discussions in the list, and doesn't prompt any FBI investigations or conspiracies... Just trying to give credit to those who deserve it, and lighten things a bit...
