I doubt very much if the People for Independent Parks have attended too
many of the parkboard meetings or really have had first hand experience in
some of the recent issues. I believe this is more of a campaign ploy than
actual concern otherwise they should be outraged by the Neiman Sport
Complex along with the condition of our playground equipment or past
decisions about wading pools and warming houses etc. But nary a pip squeak
in our fine neighborhood.
The only time I have seen some political leaders in the park is when I
receive their
campaign literature....they did not seem to care when the trees were being
clear cut
in areas that had nothing to do with the road or rail...and the land is
still barren to this
day. Yup...they really cared about preserving our parkland.
