I doubt very much if the People for Independent Parks have attended too many of the parkboard meetings or really have had first hand experience in some of the recent issues. I believe this is more of a campaign ploy than actual concern otherwise they should be outraged by the Neiman Sport Complex along with the condition of our playground equipment or past decisions about wading pools and warming houses etc. But nary a pip squeak in our fine neighborhood.

The only time I have seen some political leaders in the park is when I receive their campaign literature....they did not seem to care when the trees were being clear cut in areas that had nothing to do with the road or rail...and the land is still barren to this
day. Yup...they really cared about preserving our parkland.
