No family of four should have to live off $12.30 an hour. No family of four should be paying taxes into a system where $82,000 is written off as ...people make mistakes.
Accountability..$82,000 would provide one policeman on the street, almost two years of an extra day for a library and a big set of playground equipment. We tiss money down a drain and then expect working people to continue to pay the property taxes we have, pay the price of gas, rent, and pay over 2 bucks for a loaf of bread....let's start looking for ways to operate a little more lean in government and not sell out to the highest bidder... People work hard..pay them. We need to cut...cut the fat out of government spending. Pretty hard to be talking about people living off $6.15 an hour after some of the raises that just went through for the city. Dorie Rae Gallagher/Nokomis REMINDERS: 1. Be civil!
