Much venom and sulfur about three weeks before
election day. Love it but:
This has been a beautiful day! We are going to have
a whole weekend of beautiful days. I took the second
half of Friday off (I pay myself so I had to dock that
lazy s.o.b) and kicked some leaves on the Winchell
trail along the East River Road. There are still some
migrant Warblers in the trees but the most impressive
sight
was the sky, harvest blue, highlighted and framed by
the brightly dying leaves. And a kettle of raptors
about a mile up with a fleet of Pelicans coming
through that you never would have seen except you had
to glory in the sky (carry binoculars).
So everybody take a long lovely walk. Let's fight
next week.
