The Executive Director, the Board of Directors and the Executive
Committee work together in appropriate capacities to ensure that the day to
day and long term business of LNA is handled appropriately.
 Wendy responds: great, then that itemized spending sheet for the -$82,000
should be right there in their filing cabinet and they can let us all see
it. That is all I ever asked for.
 The numbers Scott Moore posts don't explain where the money went:
 $457,351 fiscal 02 revenue
-$428,357 fiscal 02 expenses
----------------------------
$ 28,994 fiscal 02 excess
 wendy: (SO THEY HAD EXTRA MONEY THAT YEAR after paying all the bills)

$209,954 fund balance at beginning of year 02
-$156,925 fund balance at the end of year 02
----------------------------
$ 53,029 difference
+$ 28,994 fiscal 02 excess
----------------------------
$ 82,023
 (SO WHY was this -$82,000 taken out of the bank if all the bills were paid
and there was +$29,994 fiscal excess for the year? SEE... no itemized
accounting for what the -$82,000 money was spent on)

that -$82,000 wasn't spent in this 2002 fiscal year. It went back a number
of years and was on the books for a long time. Why didn't they just write it
off years before? Where is the itemized acocunting of what it was spent on?
 As a board member it was (and I suppose still is) my fiduciary duty to ask.

 Scott Moore:
I understand that the LNA is a nationally recognized neighborhood
organization that provides many community events and services.
 Wendy: great, then let's uphold that national reputation by full
disclosure. Should be right there in the filing cabinet if what they claim
is true.
 Anyway, I didn't accuse Scott Persons of anything other than poor
leadership and poor organizational money management. His 2nd year presidency
overspent the budget by -$42,000. Then the next year the -$82,000 write off.
I don't want that kind of 'leadership' in city hall.
