I know that the legislature gathers conflict of interest information 
from House and Senate members and while that information in 
accessible to the public, it is not placed online. Minnesota is also 
a laggard in providing public access to campaign finance information.

Does the city collect similar information designed to promote ethics 
and the like?  Is that information online somewhere?  What about 
council office and overall city spending details (not just proposed 
budgets)?

Anyway, assuming there is public information collected by the city, 
if it is online, awesome.  If not, will those running for city 
council and Mayor let me know if they support putting such 
information online for public access.

Perhaps Minneapolis should lead the state through information access 
action, since we've lost our statewide small "d" democratic shine and 
haven't cared much about that decline. See our "F":
