A reminder to all that the League of Women Voters Minneapolis is hosting a panel discussion this Thursday, October 20 from 7-9pm on the Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP). Details are below, but here's the gist:

Joe Horan, NRP staff person and member of the original group that put the NRP together way back when will talk about the historical context of NRP and how NRP came to be what it is today.

Barb Johnson, 4th Ward Council Member and Chair of the Ways and Means Committee will talk about the current financial and political climate and what kinds of financial and political trade-offs are involved with NRP.

Tracy Kill, a neighborhood volunteer with the Harrison Neighborhood Association will talk about her experience with NRP and what she sees as the Program's strengths and weaknesses (from the neighborhood volunteer perspective).
