That is the plan. We plan to create groups for all of the E-Democracy.Org groups to help folks make the move. We will need folks to move themselves so they register their details and understand the new features of the system. In the future, Minneapolis Issues will work like an e-mail list, a web forum, and a multi-editor blog all at once! We will also be able to support neighborhoods interested in "community forums" as well as consider topical spaces for community information exchange on top community challenges (crime, housing, broadband ... you name the issue where citizens, community groups, and the city or school district need to work together with the support of e-tools) based on volunteer host interest and/or funding. This will take some doing, but sooner or later we are going to need an online platform for public problem-solving and collaborative implementation of city priorities that goes beyond the political debate in the main forum. Steven Clift E-Democracy.Org P.S. There are a few additional features we'd like to raise some money for development before the switch. The tool is open source, so any donations will help others benefit from the tool as well.
