Want to congratulate the Star & Tribune on endorsing Ralph Remmington for seeing what members of the 10th Ward have seen over the past few months. A dynamic leader who can bring together people to solve community problems and issues.
He has been one of the primary voices to intertwine city planning and transportation planning. As the City Page article articulated, there have been many benefits of the Midtown development project (new jobs, new residents) but very little improvement in transit issues (especially mass transit) and huge impacts on existing businesses. Ralph is a leader who can bring people together (community, developers, & city leaders) to embrace smart development and push for the additional 4 city planners in 2006 city budget. With the number of current council member endorsements (Lisa Goodman, Natalie Johnson Lee, Don Samuels, Gary Schiff, Paul Zerby), he has shown that he can work with existing council members being at every council meeting over the last several months.
